Rodman Williams One of the most critical areas today in prophecy has to do with the understanding of tribulation.
Daily Prophetic Words, Bible Teaching and Prayers
The New Testament speaks of "tribulation," also "great tribulation," and the debate hinges on whether the church true believers will or will not go through it. Lightner speaks of "at least four different views of the church's relation to the tribulation: How is it possible to decide among such varying viewpoints? Surely the issue is an important one, and interpretations vary a great deal on this. Let me make some suggestions to help. First, some comments about the rapture of the church. The place in Scripture that most clearly teaches a rapture is 1 Thessalonians 4: The final words are: And the dead in Christ will rise first; then we who are alive, who are left, shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air; and so we shall always be with the Lord.
Paul also in 1 Corinthians Second, nothing is said in either passage directly about the relation of the rapture to tribulation.
However, the implication in 1 Thessalonians 4 is that no tribulation follows the rapture. For rather than saying something like, "So shall we be delivered from tribulation," the text thereafter reads, "so shall we always be with the Lord.
Third, we need also to examine the word "tribulation. Returning to 1 Thessalonians, we observe that Paul writes in chapter 3 that "we sent Timothy That no man should be moved by these afflictions [the Greek word is a form of thlipsis, hence "tribulations"]: For verily, when we were with you, we told you before that we should suffer tribulation; even as it came to pass, and ye know" vv. Since this chapter 3 precedes the next 4 on the rapture, and also declares that we are "appointed" to tribulation, even to "suffer" the same, it would seem apparent that tribulation precedes the rapture to come.
Let us also note some words of Jesus. In Matthew 24, Jesus tells His disciples, "They will deliver you up to tribulation [thlipsin], and put you to death" v.
Clearly tribulation here precedes the return of Christ and the rapture of the church. Another memorable statement of Jesus is found in John Some interpreters, however, argue that although all Christians go through some tribulation, there is yet a "great tribulation" to come that true believers will not have to endure. Let us examine the expression "great tribulation" which occurs first in Matthew In any case, this "great tribulation" is also prior to the return of Christ and the rapture.
For, further on, in Matthew 24, Jesus says, "Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light These last words clearly relate to the rapture here depicted as the gathering of "the elect"and unmistakably refer to an occurrence after "great tribulation.
The other place where the expression "great tribulation" is utilized is in Revelation, chapter 7.
John, beholding "a great multitude" v. But "out of" surely does not mean to be removed from; rather these believers have endured "the great tribulation" and have now come out of it, praising God and the Lamb. Here again "great tribulation" seems to refer to what happens upon the whole earth see the opening words of Rev.
Chapter 7 earlier describes the sealing of"servants of our God" vv.

These believers rather than escaping out of tribulation by way of rapture were sealed by God for their protection while going through it. Moreover, all of this happens prior to the return of Christ, which is not actually described until chapter I should add that many pretribulationists view the church as already having been raptured before any of the events, including tribulation in Revelationoccur.
Some take the words addressed to John in Revelation 4: Many times, for example, the word "saints" occurs, along with such words as "Here is a call for the endurance of the saints" Based on the biblical testimony, there will not be a pretribulational rapture of the church nor a midtribulational for that matter. This is very important to emphasize. For whether the tribulation is what all Christians are called upon to endure to the very end, or a great tribulation occurring worldwide, the Lord will see His people through whatever happens.
There will be much persecution, to be sure, even martyrdom ahead Jesus promised thatand many coming judgments on the world from which true believers will be protected. Whichever way, there will be tribulation until the day Christ returns in glory.
Defeating Your Fears Is the First Step
I am afraid too many today are being lulled into thinking that when things get really bad, we as believers will be suddenly snatched out of it all "the great snatch," the rapture is sometimes called. This is indeed poor preparation for what is yet to happenand a serious misreading of the prophetic message. We will go through whatever tribulation may yet come, and in the midst of it and on the other side, give God all the glory! This, I believe, is prophecy by the Book.
There are many church doctrines throughout the world, and many are founded on false doctrines. The Great Tribulation is designed for those who follow these doctrines. God will test their faith during this time. And if their faith in God is strong enough, they will reject the mark of the beast, and be saved 1 Corinthians 3: If their faith is in the world, they will recieve the Mark of the Beast.
And they will become part of the second resurrection. They are the ones raised in the Second Resurrection unto death. This is the first resurrection. The first resurrection happens when Jesus comes, after the great tribulation Matthew But in that resurrection, 1 Thessalonians 4: Now if the dead in Christ, all those written in the book of Life are being resurrected during this time, whose being resurrected in the second resurrection?
Now my head hurts. The wrath of God does not come during, it comes after the Great Tribulation. I would add Nicole in India and many Islamic countries.
It is possible to be murdered for just being a Christian. We need to pray for our brothers and sisters in Christ. If I remember correctly a group of Nuns and the people they cared for were murdered just a few months ago.
And what I offered did not mean otherwise. What I am offering is that if we go through the tribulation, God's wrath judgments will not effect us, but what Satan's people are allowed to do can somehow effect us. I say that Paul says we will not be subjected to God's judgments of wrath. But we will go through the tribulation of what Satanic people do against us. People in the West seem to forget what's going on in North Korea. Christians can't buy goods.
And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: The pretribulation rapture is a new doctrine from Dispensationalism from Darby.
Handling the Situation Tactically
It started in the 's I remember reading about the Christians in China when the Communist took over. Many gave up their faith since they knew they were going through great tribulation. Today hundreds of Christians are being murdered for being Christians.
So there is no basis for saying we will not undergo tribulation. God bless you c: It is good to meet you c: However, we will be subjected to tribulation done by evil people against us. But while they are being so tormented and destroyed by our Father's wrath judgments, how much will they really be able to do against us.
The tribulation that we are facing today is a result of denominational religion. In the great tribulation God will test the believer, 1 Peter 1: Those who think they are on the right course, a course charted, by way of a man made Doctrine. During the great tribulation, these false teachings will be tested, as will those who follow them. Many who follow these false doctrines will fail this test, but there will be some who pass through.
For those who don't know, but want to know, this is what Paul was teaching in 1 Corinthians 3: History has shown very clearly that man has overcome the harshest of hardships during this age.
Various concepts, precepts, false doctrines and traditions of man that make the Word of God ineffective In the lives of its members. The tribulation of the end times is the great deception of Satan, as The Christ imitator who disguises himself as an angel of light and stands in the temple of God claiming to be God, deceiving most, even the professing Christian.
In fact the whole Bible is for Christians. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works. I have overcome the world. But do you honestly believe that His words were only meant for the natural house of Israel?
I was not saying none of the living being will be in the 1st resurrection, but death must come before the first resurrection ever takes place. The second resurrection will be for those not written in the Book of Life. You take us out of this world! It gives us the opportunity to die for Christ, as he died for us. The second after the thousand year reign of Christ when all the other dead rise to be judged from the Book of Life according to what they did while they were still alive on the planet Earth.
But the first resurrection before the thousand year reign of Christ some do NOT die for it is written that the dead in Christ shall rise and the living shall be caught up with the dead.
